In 2024, Jin Yong Xiqu Theatre – The Smiling, Proud Wanderer became the first-ever stage production authorised by Jin Yong's estate. Led by Zuni Icosahedron's Artistic Director Mathias Woo, alongside steemed Xiqu (Chinese opera) masters and rising stars, the production fused traditional Xiqu with advanced art technology in light, sound, and visuals. Featuring newly dapted Kunqu excerpts and Naamyam ballads, the performance celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of Jin Yong, the legendary master of wuxia literature.

Programmes

The International Sheng and Reeds Festival, conceptualized by Yan Huichang (Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for Life), will be held both in-person and online, with Hong Kong serving as the main hub and connecting events across various regions. This festival uniquely integrates culture, sports, and tourism.

With scores of glittering costumes and extraordinary sets, this enchanting classic captures the wonder of childhood and victory over evil as it celebrates early 20th century Hong Kong's history, characters and natural beauty.

To mark the 85th anniversary this year of the birth of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, HKDance is proud to present the grand dance drama Kung Fu Artistry. Performed by professional dancers who have undergone eight years of rigorous martial arts training, the work interprets Lee's martial arts philosophy and spirit through a dynamic fusion of strength and grace.

If the Winter Palace is comparable to the Louvre Museum in Paris, the Summer Palace of Peter the Great is the Palace of Versailles. Located in the suburbs of Saint Petersburg, the Summer Palace, as its name suggests, was the palace for Peter the Great and tsars to reside in summer. The architectural style was influenced by the Palace of Versailles with its grandeur and splendour. The palace completely embodies the grace of the royal family.
